On June 20, 2023, the 13th Biopesticide Development and Application Exchange Conference sponsored by China Pesticide Development and Application Association and co organized by Chengdu Newsun Crop Science Co., Ltd. About 200 people, including leaders, experts, scholars and enterprise representatives from all over the country, attended the conference to discuss the development status and research hotspots of Biopesticide.

At the meeting, experts and scholars analyzed the development of Biopesticide industry in China. Wang Xiaojun, a researcher from the Pharmacodynamics Evaluation Office of the Pesticide Testing Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, made a key statement on the current pesticide management regulations system, pesticide registration system and Biopesticide registration status in China, and proposed that the Biopesticide industry in China currently has problems such as low Biopesticide variety registration share and small market share. The management ability and evaluation means of Biopesticide need to be further strengthened. Wang Fengle, the chief expert of the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center, analyzed the current situation of Biopesticide product development and application in China, and proposed a series of countermeasures to promote the development of Biopesticide industry in China. Zheng Yuguo, an academician of the CAE Member and dean of the College of Biological Engineering of Zhejiang University of Technology, made an analysis report on the application of biological manufacturing engineering technology in the Biopesticide industry, and proposed that biological manufacturing, as a new "industrial revolution", is changing the production mode of substances and realizing major innovations in production materials, manufacturing engineering and product properties. Biomanufacturing enables pesticide production, which integrates engineering, chemistry, physics and other theories and methods to achieve efficiency and carbon reduction in pesticide production.
