From July 8th to 9th, 2023, the "Fourth National Pesticide Industry Innovation Exchange Conference", sponsored by China Pesticide Industry Association and Guizhou University and co-organized by Chengdu Newsun Crop Science Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Newsun"), was successfully held in Nanning, Guangxi. About 400 leaders, experts, scholars, and business representatives from all over the country attended the conference to jointly explore innovative ways to promote green and sustainable development in the pesticide industry.

At the beginning of the conference, Sun Shubao, President of the China Pesticide Industry Association, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony and pointed out that green pesticide innovation is the main task for the development of China's pesticide industry. At the same time, focusing on innovative original targets and facing major pests and diseases is the main direction for China's pesticide development.

Secondly, the expert Song Bao'an, academician of the CAE Member, made a strategic statement on the current situation and problems of pesticide development in China, as well as the key to solving the problems of the pesticide industry in China, and clearly proposed that green pesticide creation is the key to solving the problems of traditional pesticides in China, which is of great significance to the sustainable and healthy development of agriculture in China. Professor Zhang Lixin of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology mentioned the importance of green pesticides in the report of "Research And Development Of Cutting-Edge Insecticides And Acaricides", emphasizing that the research, development and application of green pesticides can better protect the environment, improve the quality of agricultural products, and reduce the risks to human beings and ecosystems. And emphasized that green pesticides should attach importance to research and development, products, and truly transform cutting-edge basic research into productivity, and firmly adhere to the policy line of innovative development. At the same time, the conference also focused on using synthetic biology, gene editing technology, big data artificial intelligence assisted formulation synthesis and other biotechnology to break through the technical bottleneck of high natural product pesticide costs, and promote the rapid development of green pesticide industry; new green pesticide creation methods and technologies; continuous flow and membrane technology have provided exciting reports and sharing on promoting green and safe production of pesticides and reducing costs.

At the exchange conference, Ren Dan, the President of Newsun Biotechnology Research Institute, made a report on "The Creation And Application Of Plant Signaling Molecule Regulation Technology COR Coronatine ". The report elaborates on the past, present, and new developments of Coronatine, including its basic research, application research, and industrialization. It also provides a comprehensive and systematic introduction to the effects of Coronatine on disease resistance, increased yield, and income of grain and oil crops, color conversion and sugar increase of fruits (citrus, grapes, etc.), and quality improvement.

The successful holding of the 4th Pesticide Industry Innovation Exchange Conference marks significant progress in green innovation in the pesticide industry, laying a solid foundation and providing a clear direction for the sustainable development of the pesticide industry.
